The oldest thing (that I know of) that I own is a number of Chinese pith prints, most likely dating from the early 1800s, and given to my great-great-Grandfather by "a sea-captain friend of his in the clipper-ship trade." Eventually I will scan all of them -- they're currently kept in a binder stored away since I received intelligence that sunlight will cause them to fade <i>very</i> quickly.
When these get beaten out for oldest object, I'm guessing it will be by a book.
